Your baby can grow up cavity free if you start good dental care early. Here are dental checklists for infants
and toddlers. Please keep in mind for your children's cavity free teeth. If you have any further questions

Dental checklist
(recommended by American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry)
1. Birth to 6 months.
* Clean mouth with gauze after feedings and at bedtime.
* Ask your pediatrician or pediatric dentist about fluoride supplements.
* Regulate feeding habits.

2. 6 to 12 months.
* First tooth should appear; time to see the pediatric dentist for an exam.
* Begin to brush teeth after each feeding and at bedtime with small, soft- bristled brush.
* Baby begins to walk; be alert to dental injuries.
* Wean from breast or bottle by first birthday.

3. 12 to 24 months
* Follow schedule of exams and cleanings recommended by pediatric dentist.
* Start using pea-sized portions of fluoridated toothpaste when child is able to rinse.
* Most primary teeth have erupted.
